Children thrive when they engage in play, explore their surroundings actively, and share positive experiences with their caregivers. With this in mind, The King’s Academy Early Childhood Program has crafted its program to emphasize meaningful and interactive learning experiences. A thoughtful approach is taken, offering a well-structured curriculum that supports every aspect of a child’s development. The program integrates a Biblical worldview, seamlessly incorporating Biblical truths and the love of Jesus into daily activities.
Research-Driven Curriculum
The King’s Academy Early Childhood Program offers a research-based, teacher-developed curriculum that aligns with the Florida Early Learning Standards. Our approach nurtures the whole child, with a curriculum designed to sequentially build academic concepts and skills. Play is integral to our program, facilitating the development of age-appropriate skills across all areas. We differentiate learning activities to meet each child’s unique developmental needs, ensuring they succeed in a stimulating and supportive environment. Throughout all areas of development, our teaching is rooted in a Biblical worldview, with Biblical truths and the love of Jesus woven into every aspect of our daily activities.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring
Assessment and progress monitoring are essential for fostering a nurturing and effective early childhood education environment. They enable us to support each child’s growth and development by helping teachers customize instruction to suit individual needs and learning speeds. Through these evaluations, we identify each child's strengths and areas for improvement, and promptly detect any developmental delays or learning disabilities. This allows us to implement timely interventions and provide the necessary support to address and nurture each child's needs.
Enrichment Activities
Enrichment Activities offer diverse opportunities that support and enhance growth across all developmental areas. These activities introduce a variety of engaging experiences to spark children’s interests and passions. Through these offerings, early learners not only explore their preferences but also advance their overall learning and development.
Chapels
Weekly chapels bring our early childhood program community together to worship and learn about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bible stories are presented in a way that is developmentally appropriate and make real-life connections that resonate with young children. Each day, students are reminded of their inherent worth and the incredible potential that God has placed within them.
Academics and Our Approach to Learning
-
Two-Year-Old Program
Our two-year-old program focuses on the development of self-regulation and self-help skills. Special attention is given to helping children identify and communicate their emotions and to helping children communicate their overall needs. Foundational academic skills are introduced to children through play-based activities. Many opportunities are provided to allow children to explore and investigate their environment and interact with nurturing caregivers who are responsive to their needs.

Three-Year-Old Program
Our three-year-old program is designed specifically to allow children to build on the foundational skills established in the two-year-old program. Greater structure is introduced to the children’s routine, daily activities, and overall schedule. Academic concepts are introduced in the areas of Language and Literacy, Mathematical Thinking, Scientific Inquiry, and Creative Expression through the Arts. Children are taught and encouraged to be respectful, productive citizens in their classroom community.

Four-Year-Old Program
Our four-year-old program is an academically rigorous program designed to prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond. Academic instruction is provided in the areas of Language and Literacy, Mathematical Thinking, Scientific Inquiry, and Creative Expression through the Arts. Children are expected to work independently at times; and they are expected to participate as respectful, contributing members of their classroom community. Academic and self-help skills are honed at this level to equip young children with the skills needed to successfully navigate the rigor of kindergarten.
